Code "31" denotes the red spring (for the sportiest models), while code "32" denotes the black spring (for the most classic models). Spring preload is controlled by the hydraulic preload mechanism, which can be adjusted manually or with a 14-mm hex wrench. Applicable to all BMW shock absorbers equipped with hydraulic preload. This handle features an ergonomic design with three tabs that make adjustment easy without the need for cumbersome tools. Available as an aftermarket replacement part, it can be installed on all hydraulic preload mono-shock absorbers in the XXF-CLU-CYU and XZE series produced since 2009. The reservoir is separate from the housing for better fluid cooling and greater flexibility in mounting position. It is connected by a flexible hose braided to withstand very high pressure, which improves shock absorber feedback and enhances grip and comfort.
