The reverse shift allows the gearshift lever to be operated in reverse. This means that when you push the gearshift lever down, you shift up a gear, and when you pull it up, you shift down a gear. Most riders in racing have long sworn by this system. The reason is that in an inclined position, the next gear can be engaged more easily without having to move your foot under the gearshift lever.
More and more drivers outside of racing are also recognizing the advantages of this system.
The scope of delivery includes all parts required for installing the reverse shift. The matching cable for the quickshifter is also directly included, which is simply plugged in thanks to plug-and-play, and the correct signals are sent again.
